I launch and manage podcasts using SoundCloud as a one-stop-shop, and it is a fairly simple process. So, I decided to create this how to guide to help you get your podcast up and running!
1. Create a SoundCloud account for your podcast at soundcloud.com.
You can only have one SoundCloud account per email. You will need to confirm your account.
2. Set up your profile.
(Add your logo or profile pic, make sure your display name is the name of your blog, fill out your bio and add links to your social media and website. Remember, your bio is what will be used by podcasting platforms as the description of your blog, so give this some thought)
3. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the main SoundCloud page and select settings, then select Content.
The first thing to note is the URL in the RSS feed box. This is the URL you’ll submit to iTunes, Stitcher, etc. And the great news is you’ll only need to submit the RSS feed once, after that whatever you upload will automatically populate to the other platforms.
Also on the content page, you’ll want to choose a category for your podcast, select the language, etc. Finally, check the box that says “Include in RSS feed” and save changes.
4. Upload your finished podcast(s) to your SoundCloud page
5. Submit your SoundCloud podcast feed to other platforms
iTunes:
a. Download iTunes
b. Create an Apple ID (You’ll need to place a CC on file)
c. In iTunes, select “store” and on the right select “Submit a Podcast”
d. Follow the instructions and submit your RSS feed URL
Submit to Stitcher
Submit to TuneIn
6. After submitting to these platforms, from now on, all you need to do is upload your podcast to SoundCloud. It will automatically auto-populate to the other platforms.
NOTE: It can take a few hours for your podcast to appear in iTunes and other podcast apps.

Ok, that’s all for today. Good luck out there!
